This interview was too much fun!

Chatting with Chautona Havig feels so natural—I get completely lost in our conversation. She's such a welcoming host with a great sense of humor that I forget I'm even in an interview, let alone that others will be listening in. haha!

She gives me her epiphany about The Chosen Kids, and I’m here for it! Even though I had nothing to do with it. God is the one who gives me the ideas, and I’m just praying I get it right.

We also chat about the settings, characters, spiritual lessons, some behind the scenes stuff, a couple of minor spoilers, and a little about book four. Oh, and we’re kind of funny too. (At least I think we are.) Laughter is involved. 😁

I am so grateful to Because Fiction Podcast for giving indie authors like me the opportunity to talk about our books. Chautona Havig is a blessing! And by the way, she's also an author of Christian Fiction herself with a vast collection of wonderful books under her belt.

My second interview with Because Fiction was a blast! I was trying to keep it together while having so much fun. I just adore Chautona Havig. She is one of my favorite people.

In the interview, I give a little backstory on how God led me to write the series, discuss a few of the blessed objects, give a summary of both books, share my comical story on the location of Encounter at Paradise (when I discovered there was snow on the ground—in July!), and give details on the forthcoming books.

It really is a fun episode!

I was blessed to be the featured author on Amanda Trumpower’s blog. Ms. Trumpower is the author of the Christian middle-grade Collar Cases chapter books and Power Pup series. Her books of anthropomorphic characters are funny, heartwarming, and contain life lessons. Also, each of them includes a devotional at the end!

She features a Christian middle-grade author every month, and I was selected for the “spotlight” in the June 2023 issue. In the article, I answer questions about the origin of the series, my journey, give highlights of the series, and also discuss what kind of child I am trying to reach with my books.

Give it a read and check out her books while you’re there too!
